The forest tourism department has built two observation points at Bhorgiri in Bhimashankar forest for the benefit of visiting tourists. The tourists can take rest and also, observe the nature.

Bhorgiri in Khed taluka is a favourite destination of tourists for forest and eco-tourism and every year in monsoon, thousands of tourists visit Bhimashankar.

Due to the rush of tourists every year during the monsoon, local MLA  Suresh Gore in association with the Forest Department, prepared a development plan to set up observation points for tourists. A Rs 4.50 crore plan was proposed which was sanctioned in the last session of the state legislature.

This year, the government has sanctioned Rs 68 lakh and a pedestrian walkway will be made, iron steel rods will be placed on the edges and observation points will also be built.

On the walking track of Bhorgiri forest, attractive observation points have been built. Local villagers have been provided with cotton tents to encourage eco-friendly tourism. Bhorgiri which is famous for waterfalls, forests and heavy rains is being developed like the hill station of Amboli.
